Dear anyone I know getting married this year,
I have found your wedding present. And yours. And yours. And yes, even yours.
This year, you will all be receiving a Veuve Cliquot Globalight, which is essentially just a very posh wine chiller. But what a wine chiller! It's got a beautiful ambient pink glow, which is magic because it doesn't transfer the heat from the light to your bottle of fizz. In fact, it keeps it at the perfect temperature for two hours (which is more than long enough to down a bottle of Veuve).
It's been designed in collaboration with Karim Rashid, who has got his designs in museums across the world.
The only slight hitch in my plan is the cost and availability. There's only 500 and it costs $4,000. On reflection, I think I might try a DIY version, fashioned out of a basket, a handheld fan and a torch. And a bottle of Lambrini.
