I'm not sure what it is about April, but it makes me want to go on holiday. It's a long time since Christmas, there doesn't seem to be much Spring in the air and I'm ready to get away. Anywhere (that picture is of where I was six months ago today. Is it any wonder I'm craving a holiday?). There are a whole host of resources out there to bag you a cheap deal - here are a few of the best (and if you've got your own favourites, add them in the comments).
Skyscanner
My first stop whenever I get itchy feet. You can search very non-specifically, so if you're up for anything but have a limited budget it's perfect. There's also bar charts showing which days are the cheapest to fly, and since it searches most of the budget airlines, you're bound to pick up a bargain.
Miles or buy?
This site helps you work out whether it's better to use the air miles you've saved or to go and spend the cash. Yes, it involves a calculator but I suspect you have one of those on your computer.
LateRooms
Once you've got your flight somewhere random, jump on here to find the cheapest accommodation going. It's where the hotel industry go to get rid of their empty rooms, often at rock bottom prices. A 5 star hotel for 50 quid? Yes please.
Seatguru
Once you've booked your hols, make sure you jump on SeatGuru, so you know which seat equals maximum leg room and minimum annoyances.
