Personally, I haven't sanded anything since Year 9 Design & Technology, when I was forced to make a spice rack. However, if by some miracle I did decide to embrace DIY over and above BAI (Buy At Ikea) I would totally go for the Hello Kitty sander.
Just look at her mooning face, urging you on with your home improvement project. She's just willing you to put up those shelves, mend that creaky step and fix the leaky tap (all of which can be fixed with a sander, I understand).
I'm not putting a link on where to buy this, because if you are actually thinking of purchasing it, you need an intervention and this is it. Perhaps in the time it'll take you to get to the source, you'll reconsider.
