Designer collaborations with big tech companies are getting more and more apparent in the world of technology. We've already seen LG team up with Prada and Samsung and Armani joined forces as well to produce a series of designer phones. Now it appears they're branching out into LCD high def TVs as well.
The Armani/Samsung range will come in two models: 46-inch and 52-inch 1080p LCDs and will come with a specially designed Armaniesque remote control, designed purely for style, and to work your TV of course.
I can't see these inevitably over-priced TVs taking off with ordinary folk, especially when it looks like any other bog standard TV and when you can more or less buy the same TV for considerably less, minus the designer touch. I think it's been designed for people who have money to waste on designer items like the Prada phone charm. If this is you, you'll have to wait till May to get one. It makes me wonder what's coming next? A Gucci microwave? A Louis Vuitton toaster?
