Can't cook, won't cook? Porsche design the P7340 kitchen to make men like housework

Hmm, how do you make men spend time in the kitchen? Clearly exciting lures such as washing up and cleaning won't be enough to get them in there, so perhaps if you designed one that was like a car? And not just any car, but a top of the range Porsche? That should do it!

OK, it's not quite a car but is was designed by the team behind Porsche so it still has an element of luxury to it. Should you have a spare £20,000 lying around you'll be able to get your kitchen so spruced up he'll be begging to hang out there. Included in the 'P7340' is a sexy range of touch sensitive units which flick open at the lightest brush and the lighting is adjustable too, with a simple wave of the hands. The whole concept screams minimalist with its lack of any handles whatsoever, which is supposed to give the feeling of 'floating effortlessly between different parts of this indulgent interior toy.'

Umm, but it is functional right?

Well, there's a audio video system tucked away there, which works on a plug-n-play feature where you just pop in a memory stick with your favourite tunes, and it's all very shiny. Um. Did I say it was shiny? Or, as Posrche would say, 'ultra-glossy surfaces'. They also throw in a couple of buzzwords like 'sleek and functional design' and that the kitchen will 'specifically addresses male customers'.

As to other matters like microwaves, ovens and oh, anything cooking related we get nada. Still, I'd like to remind you it's shiny, it has a audio video system and it is touch and light sensitive. Who would want to cook and ruin all that?
