When you were younger hugs were an everyday thing. Once when you woke up, before you went to school, a good night peck on the cheek. Now however they are few and far between as however close you are to your friends you tend not to get physical unless you've had a few. Even then, it's all, 'I lurrrve you, you're my best mate eva!!!', rather than quality cuddles. If you have a boyfriend, you may be getting some at least, but they tend to get a little amorous when you just want affection. The beating heart cushion could solve all this, since as well as being a cuddly heart shaped pillow it also has an actual HEART BEAT inside it.

When you hold it you start to sense your own heartbeat, as your heart starts syncing with the Beating Heart's rhythm, which produces a calming and relaxing feeling. When people hold each other their hearts naturally start to sync with each other, and the beating heart allows you to do achieve this effect solo.

The creators have used a combination of artificial intelligence and haptic design, bundled up in a fluffy shell to achieve this. The heart contains a microcomputer which work inside algorithmically modeling the human heart in a deep meditative state. This will then hopefully fill you with warm feelings and a sense of joy, and make you dismiss any further human contact as unnecessary.. at least till the batteries run out.
