Vivitar has created a camera that aims to marry modern technology with hints of 1960s retro funkiness. The VC5050 is channelling the monochrome look, but is only packing five megapixel image resolution; Vivitar is keen to point out that this can be expanded to 12 on interpolation, but combined with the 8x digital zoom, this is fairly entry level spec. Vivitar does do higher end cameras as well, though.
There's a 2.4" LCD to preview your picks and the memory can be expanded up to 2GB. There's no word on price although availability seems to be from now.
