Polaroid reveals their new PMP player, catchily titled the MPU-43315

Now I’m a massive PMP fan, as without one my gym visits become simply unbearable so I was curious to see this new offering from Polaroid. They’re not normally normally associated with these types of players, so will this be any good? This new player does have a couple of highly desirable features though, from the promise that the undisclosed retail price should lie under £200, to the fact that it will be for 60GB of memory, which is not to be sniffed at. The 4.3 inch LCD screen plays WMV and MPEG4 video files, as well as MP3, WMA and WAV audio files, with the potential options of some DivX plug-ins at a later stage.

The lithium ion battery lasts a not to shoddy 4 hours for video playback and 16 hours of audio, and even has an integral FM radio receiver. Whilst not a touch screen it does have touch controls, to let you scroll through the different options and an easily navigable menu. There’s also Wi-Fi for streaming music and videos which is a nice touch, and will hopefully let it compete with Archos’s market dominance.
