Pixie cameras from Polaroid

Girls like pink right? And boys want everything in blue. This maybe a sexist statement if applied to adults but when we're talking about pre-teens it's actually scarily true. I had a room full of Barbie dolls and pink carpets, whilst my 11 year old bro is a bit of a blue fiend, with walls, ceiling, pictures and sheets all a sea blue colour. So much to my chagrin I think the youth market will happily subjectify themselves to gender stereotypes and go doolally over these. These cute cameras are actually fairly decent (for beginners that is) since as well as being designed like a PS2 game controller, they also have a 2.4 inch LCD screen to view pics on, and have 16MB of internal storage. There are 2 viewfinders, so you get a binocular style viewing experience, and a 2x digital zoom.

Megapixels wise It's going to be about 3, and it has an SD card slot to expand the memory. My favourite part of it though is the 5 in built games you can play, which can be accessed via the game pad like controls on the back. The price will be pretty reasonable as well, at around £50 and it should be available in the next couple of months. To see it in more detail watch me getting hands on with it here.
