If you're aiming for the full-on integrated home entertainment system, the final touch definitely has to be a wall-mounted touchscreen for the James Bond look. Opus has obliged, with a keypad compatible with a variety of third party lighting and smart home products as well as its Opus 500 system. Good to know there's a certain amount of mix and match allowed, especially if you're splashing out £490 just on the super-glorified remote control.

So what can this über-keypad actually do? Well, it can display video from DVD, TV or CCTV systems and has an onscreen menu to access audio / video servers, iPod docks and anything else you can think of. It's high contrast, backlit, 16 million colour 3.5" display is crystal clear and can be fully customised.

Basically, it lets you have a little, foxy-looking hub from which to control your techno-friendly house. Did you need to know much more? It'll be available this summer.
