Onkyo have just released details of their new music system, which combines an iPod dock, CD drive and radio tuner in a single unit. This all-in-one system allows you to play a variety of files, including MP3, WMA and MPEG's, but the real selling point is their sound clarity. The word Onkyo means 'sound harmony' in Japan, and the whole philosophy of the brand is to create a pleasurable listening experience.

They've manged to create great quality sound in a really small package with the new CBX-300. They've made the chassis extremely rigid to avoid unwanted resonances and mounted the speakers in a separate enclosure in the main chassis. The crisp high frequency sound is due to the use of Onkyo Micro Fiber speaker diaphragms, which absorb vibrations and produce a fast accurate response. A selection of equalizer settings lets you tailor the output to your personal preferences, be it dynamic or vocal. Definitely a must-have for all the audiophiles out there!

£229, from Onkyo
