Was it going to have a bigger screen? Was it going to have a touchscreen? Was it going to be so light and tiny that it was going to fit in your back pocket? Well, the verdict is in, and the answer is yes, no, no.
The new eeePC 900 has been unveiled at CeBIT, and the biggest change is that they've got rid of the black speakers around the screen, making it look even more lickable than the previous version. It'll have 1GB of RAM, SSDs up to 12GB and is due mid-2008, at 399 euros.

I have the first version and the screen size has always been a bit of a let down.
This looks a lot more promising!!
I've still not got my black 4G from before Christmas. I wish they'd stop messing around making a billion different SKUs and just make more of the one I want...

The bigger screen, extra storage, Windows XP and rumours of blu-tooth are big improvements on the 7" Eee.
Sadly they are using the same battery so the extra power requirements of the screen will mean a shorter run time.
It is also trouble with battery supply that has made the 7" eee so difficult to get hold of so don't plan on getting hold of one of these babies any time soon.
