Perhaps you already have a couple of redundant power sockets in your house, or maybe you're just optimistically looking forward to the day when solar energy powers all your gadgets. Either way, designers are stepping to deal with that oh-so-pressing question of what to do with an unused electrical socket, and the results are pretty inventive.
Scott Amron has created "socket stuffers" that he calls "die electrics". They're made of insulating materials that plug into sockets without using electricity and include flower pots, toothbrush holders and towel hooks. As usual the simple ideas are the most effective.

Enteresting but... except for this one with the toothbrush and maybe 2-3 more, the rest look like they'd tear the socket out of the wall, unfortunately.
Like you'd put a wet toothbrush into that gripping device!
Or do Americans actually have power sockets in their bathrooms next to the sink? :-)
