HD-DVD is dead! Long live Blu-ray! etc etc. There's much jubilation over at the Blu camp, and according to the folks at T3, Blu-ray player sales have increased seven fold since the news that Toshiba was pulling out of the high definition war.

More than just being too expensive, Blue-Ray doesn't offer enough cost to benefit ratio. Moving from cassette to CD, or VHS to DVD offered a significant improvement over the former media, especially in terms of interface. Blue-Ray doesn't offer anything that DVD doesn't, really. A better picture? The improvement is minuscule to most people, really.
So, meh. I'll stick with DvD.
