The new Nokia N96 has set the Mobile World Congress buzzing, with its impressive 16GB internal memory and DVB-H television receiver.
The new smartphone has a 2.8" screen, 2.8" screen and supports MPEG-4, WMV and Flash video playback. As well as having generous built-in storage, it supports high capacity microSD cards, with a total possible memory of 24GB.
Sadly the most exciting feature, the DVB-H tuner, is not very Europe-friendly, but for those who can use it, that leaves room for around 40 hours of stored content, which can then be played back hands-free using the handy kickstand.
Music-wise there are dedicated media keys and integrated 3D stereo speakers. For cameraphone fans, there's a similar 5 megapixel, Carl Zeiss optics camera to the popular N95, including a flash and video light, with 30fps video recording. And you can geo-tag your photos using the A-GPS system.
With Nokia Maps and City Guides included - and of course HSDPA support - the Nokia N96 is really living up to Nokia's mobile computer claims. And to top it all, for more superficial mobile fans, it looks to be a lot sleeker and more attractive than its predecessor.
It'll be available around autumn for a pre-taxes and subsidies price of 550 Euros.
