That iPlayer seems to be shaping up to be better and better. And the BBC seem to be getting increasingly cosy with Apple. The latest announcement from the BBC is that the iPlayer programmes are going to be available on the iPod Touch and the iPhone. You'll be able to stream the programmes when you're in a WiFi hotspot (although not when away from one, due to EDGE being far too slow for such things).
Yes, you have to be in a WiFi area, but bearing in mind that all iPhone and Touch users have free access to The Cloud's network, this is a Truly Great Thing. That's free BBC programmes over a free connection, people, rather than £1.89 a pop to download them from iTunes. It actually makes me want one of those iThings.
