There’s been a lot of cameras today, hasn’t there? I’ve used up all my camera jokes (they were there, you just had to look hard), lost my enthusiasm for an extra .2 megapixels, and suspect you might be suffering from snapper’s fatigue. So, we’ll make this Samsung announcement quick. It’ll be like ripping off a plaster. Ready?

i80
- 8.1 megapixels
- 3x optical zoom and ISO 3200
- Integrated MP3 player
- Face recognition and image stabilisation

Conclusion: Yeah, that’s all… fine.

Right. Ready for the next one?

i100
- 10.2 megapixels
- 3x optical zoom and ISO 3200
- MP3 player with ‘World TourGuide’ information pre-loaded for 30 countries
- both digital and optical image stabilisation, for *really* stable images
- Intelligent face recognition

Conclusion: It’s a camera and a tour book. How bizarre and yet somewhat logical.

Finally

S1060
- 10.2 megapixels
- 5x optical zoom and ISO 1600
- Digital image stabilisation
- Intelligent face recognition (detects up to nine faces)

Conclusion: Again, it’s fine.

The cameras are all going to be available in Spring of this year, and pricing is TBC
