sony-ericsson-w760.jpgPhew! You know how you all wanted to know lots about phones when we asked you about your interest in CES? And all we've been talking about all day is HD? Well, for those who have kept the faith, a reward in the form of some new announcements from Sony Ericsson.

The jewel in the crown is the W760, a Walkman handset with HSPDA, motion-controlled gaming and GPS, all in a slim slider. It's twinned with Wayfinder Navigator software and Google Maps, which makes for an intruiging combination. The GPS-enabled "Tracker" fitness app also records how fast your feet are taking you.

Naturally for a Walkman phone, music is a big focus - the W760 has twin speakers with 'stereo widening', plus an optional Active Speaker accessory that acts as speakers, FM tuner and protective casing.

The W760's gaming features are pretty powerful too, with a landscape mode for widescreen play, and dedicated gaming buttons. It's also packing Wiimote-like motion sensing, complete with built-in Need For Speed ProStreet game that lets you tilt the phone to steer your car.

Other stuff? The W760 has a 3.2-megapixel camera, comes with a 1GB Memory Stick, and has Bluetooth and FM radio. It weighs in at 103 grams, has a 2.2-inch screen, and promises up to nine hours of talktime, and up to 20 hours of music playback. Watch out for it going on sale before July.
