Intempo have today announced that they've produced the first portable internet radio, which is due to be available in April for £150. The portable-ness comes from the low power consumption it employs, which should give you 20 hours from each charge, allowing you to move it around on a whim.
Part of me is very pleased for them. And part of me thinks that the internet-ness requires a wifi connection, which means that you can only use this radio where you've internet access (although there is an FM radio built-in for emergency listening). So really, all you can do is move this radio around your house, which is not quite as exciting. Still, it looks pretty, and its codename is Daisy, which is a fabulous codename.
