I was reading about cat clones with a gene for fluorescence added that makes them essentially glow in the dark. Sometimes genetic modification is a weird and not entirely wonderful thing. And then there's technological modification, or, what happens when you rip off someone else's design and shoehorn in all the things you wish it had.
Chinese manufacturer BTL International has been, erm, "inspired" by the iPod nano in the creation of its M2406 media player which supports AVI videos, MP3, WMA and WAV audio files and packs a 2 megapixel camera. There's a built in speaker as well as the 2.4" TFT screen, and internal flash memory ranges from 128MB to 4GB, supplemented by miniSD card.
