WooMe: Speed dating the webcam way

Comments (3)

dating_woomee.jpgNow, I've tried out my fair share of Internet dating, and usually the problems I encountered were the same as those my dates no doubt found: he / she looks fine on paper, and even in photos, but in person there is zero chemistry. WooMe aims to solve that problem by combining the benefits of speed dating - a minute to talk to someone and get that gut feeling about them before you bother meeting - with the convenience of the Internet. I wonder if the Skype-like design is intentional...

You get one minute to exchange pleasantries over webcam, and then you can choose between politely rejecting the hopeful or confirming that the wooing process has begun and moving on. You get five free one-minute sessions before you have to pay to get in touch further with your chosen date.It also has a social networking side to it; you're not exclusively expected to be dating but can make friends this way too. Are you prepared to try being wooed? Sign up to the beta now.

WooMe was a very impressive presentation at TC40 - compelling platform to create interactive sessions. I really like this website. Great place to meet friends or maybe find that someone you need in your life. Joined

Woo Me looks interesting, like speeddating.com, but I’m sure they both will have similar problems like, most people do not have webcams yet and the ideal users of this site will probably old souls desperate to find love which is creepy. Both sites need features that allow users to block unwanted ‘dates’ from seeing their profiles.

Woome looks great and the best thing they do what they say hopefully once they add the Im and other extras there planning it will be great
