Vodafone's 'Pebble' USB modem for the 'Style conscious professional'

I wanted to tell you all about the newly designed Vodafone USB modem. But then I read the press release, and it said it so much better:

"Vodafone UK has delivered an early Christmas present for Mobile broadband users that may need a little more 'je ne sais quoi' from their USB modem. Known by insiders simply as the 'pebble', this more aesthetic version of the 7.2Mbps USB modem launched earlier in the year combines everything from its contoured design to flashing perimeter lights. What else could the style-conscious business user want?"

Issues I have with this:
- Business users do not need 'je ne sais quoi'. They need work/life balance, expenses paid on time and a pleasant commute, but not 'je ne sais quoi'.
- Insiders? Who are these insiders? If the insiders are the people working at Vodafone, it's probably because they had an email saying "we're going to relaunch the USB modem. We're going to call it the pebble".
- Flashing perimeter lights. This is not a car reversing or a fairground ride. Lights on a modem seem slightly surplus to requirements.

They also put the price up by a fiver a month - riptards.
