We're past Hallowe'en and since us here in the UK don't have Thanksgiving to look forward to (although I plan to bake pumpkin pie all the same), it's full speed to Christmas. Unfortunately, this country never quite delivers seasonally, and snow is more than likely to turn up on my birthday in March rather than on Christmas Day. But no matter when I can create my own snow-bound Yuletide scene with a snow machine.
This machine creates simulated snow that feels and behaves just like the real thing, using a snow solution and distilled water. There's a 600-watt motor behind the snowflakes pouring from it, and even a remote control to adjust between light drifts and heavy flurries. It won't be the most eco-friendly gadget you use this year, nor the quietest (it produces the equivalent decibels to a small vacuum cleaner), but it is weirdly desirable. Oh, wait, it's all irrelevant because I can't afford $1,499.95...
