The makers of Japanese chocolate DARS have decreed that 22 is the magic number. Apparently eating chocolate at 22° provides the perfect sugar rush experience, and for this reason they've put a chemical thermometer on each product.
If the little circle is too dark, the chocolate is too cold, if it's too light it's likely to melt in your hands. But when it achieves the mystic purple (yes, I'm getting carried away), it is right. Not only that, but regular customers can get their hands on a "chocolate cellar" drawer that is designed to make sure your chocolate is always at the right temperature. There's a video after the jump. Enjoy!
