When I heard they were making a film version of those much-loved Nancy Drew books I was thrilled. When I found out that it was generally regarded to be one of the worst films ever made I was gutted. So much emotion for a Friday. Luckily, I've managed to channel it into this list of spy-like gadgets which will have you setting up your own detective agency in minutes.
1. Text Spy
This gadget will retrieve the last 20 messages you deleted on your phone. And when I say you, I mean your suspicious acting boyfriend. Because lets face it, there's only one reason you'd be wanting to retrieve the last 20 deleted messages, and it's not pretty.

2. Spy Mouse
This innocuous looking mouse actually conceals a microphone, which automatically transmits when the mouse is plugged in. There's several issues that come to mind with this one, the most pressing being that I'm pretty sure that if you are doing something incriminating on your computer you're unlikely to be vocally narrating your actions. Unless you're a Bond villain.

3. Keyshark
Yes, it looks dull, but its boring exterior hides the key to all the secrets of the world. Plug this in, and it'll record up to half a million keystrokes made on your computer. So, you'll know all about what was sent, what was replied and what was written on that shared computer, making you, effectively, keeper of the secrets.

4. Spy calculator
This working calculator doubles as a bugging device, and comes complete with receiver and ear phones. One slight issue I have is that this supposedly innocent calculator seems to have the word 'transmitting' plastered on it, which might provide a clue as to the real nature of it. Unless Casio has rebranded as Transmitting and no one told me....

5. Spy storage
Being a spy comes with certain spy responsibilities, like protecting your spy sources and hiding your spy data. Should your USB key fall into the wrong hands, the consequences could be catastrophic. Thank god then for this USB key, which comes complete with a fingerprinting system, so no one but you or your hand twin can access the documents.
