TokyoFlash Kyokusen no easier to read than the last ten

tokyo-flash-watch-kyokusen.jpgI have to admit I don't quite understand the appeal of TokyoFlash (I have enough trouble remembering to wear a watch I can read) but I will concede that they look great.

The new Kyokusen model has taken its inspiration from the land of its birth, being modelled on the bustling metropolis that is Tokyo. "Kyokusen" means "curved lines" and the design certainly does live up to its name. The different segmets of the L-shaped bit are hours, and the circular lights are minutes, apparently, but I think the world has long since given up trying to extract any sense from these wrist-bound works of art. 13,900 Yen (just under £60) will get you one in either black with blue / green lights or silver with multi-coloured lights. Enjoy.
