We know you guys like the back of our RSI-riddled hand. We know you love the Sidekick range, so we think this news might bring a ray of light into what is one of The Most Disgusting, Sideways Rain, Cold and Damp Thursdays in history.

Motorola and T-Mobile announced last night a new Sidekick, the Slide, which is the thinnest and lightest ever. It's got the well-known slide out QWERTY keyboard, a trackball for easy navigating, an MP3 player and a 1.3 megapixel camera (yeah, we weren't impressed with that either). You can use the Push email or the Yahoo IM to keep in touch on the move, surf the interweb and thanks to T-Mobile's Web'n'Walk packages it won't cost you the earth.

A new feature means that all the files you put on the Slide will be backed up to a personalised web page, so you won't lose your contacts, music or photos if you lose it.

It'll be in T-Mobile shops from 9th November, and it'll be free to those people signing up to the Flext 30 package (£30 a month, for 18 months, with a £90 allowance). Hopefully, it really will arrive in shops then, since there was a lot of confusion over the previous model and whether it was actually ever going to arrive in the UK.

While I quite like the colour I can't help think this kind of phone will soon be a thing of the past, with the growing popularity of full-screen touchscreen phones and PDAs. Still, it does look quite nice.

wel yeah this phone looks relly nice an relly thin.. i just dontlike the fact it dont play vids and dat the screen is about the smae as th id..shame other than dat it looks like any other razr phone form moto

is it coming in different colors?

on the t-mobile site it says coming : november. wheeennnn in november i really wanna get one xxx

does anyone know when the sidekick lx will come to the uk or if it even will.
i like the slide but part of the reason i like the sidekick is because of the way the screen twists/flicks to come out. by just sliding its not quite as unique.

Do any 1 kno the exact release date of the sidekick slide?
