Simple register at The Giving Machine - it really does take all of two minutes - choose from the listed charities to pick your beneficiary, and if you remember to click through on your way to buy things from sites such as Apple Online, dabs, Dell and more they will give a commission (at their discretion) to the charity.
On average, about 5% of your purchase amount is donated, with a small admin fee charged by the site which will be reduced the more people use the site to donate. See? It IS worth paying so much for an iPod Touch as it simply makes the donation worthwhile...
