The new Samsung SGH-i450 music phone is set to strike new dread into the hearts of commuters - the slide-down interface packs a speaker. This Europe-only model does promise much less tinny music but you will still be at the mercy of the wonderful taste of schoolchildren.
Having said that, it does look gorgeous, thoughtfully designed to be an unobtrusive arc over the top of the slider phone. There's Touch Wheel music navigation and a Symbian OS on the 360 EUR phone, and it's one of a clutch that Samsung is unleashing including the slimline HSDPA SGH-F330 and swivelling SGH-F210.
