Samsung's launch last night of its HMX10, the first high definition camcorder it is offering to the UK market, was somewhat overshadowed by the guest of honour, Nicole Scherzinger. The Pussycat Dolls singer also launched her debut album, Her name is Nicole, at Bar Revue. Samsung's partnership with Universal Music has also recently seen the release of the F210 music phone with Girls Aloud.
The very slim compact camcorder's spec includes 1280 x 720p resolution recording, 10 x optical zoom, 2 x digital zoom, image stabilisation, 'Wind Cut' sound enhancement, 2.7" widescreen LCD touchscreen and 1.56 megapixel CMOS sensor. Memory cards are not included but it can record to 4GB high content memory cards to save 45-90 minutes depending on HD settings or 150-360 minutes if recording in standard definition.
