Japanese artists give Sony products a pretty lick of paint

Personally, I infinitely prefer some unknown artist revamping a technology product with some properly attractive art over a well-known designer whacking their print on it, but that's just me (still, it's me writing this, so let's plough on).

Therefore, I applaud Sony for not taking the easier (although admittedly more expensive) route of commissioning Giles Deacon/Matthew Williamson/Cath Kidston, instead choosing some Japanese artists to make them really different products. They've redesigned 100 media players, earbuds and Vaio laptops. But with only 100 available at each, expect to pay eBay prices unless you act fast. I'll race you.
