It's October y'all, which gives us a fabulous excuse to write about pink gadgets (as if we need an excuse - have you seen our masthead?). October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and you'll find heaps of manufacturers are embracing it, offering their stuff in pink, with a cut going to breast cancer charities. Here's the best of the best (and don't forget to check your own boobles tonight, please).

1. Belkin iPod cases
Belkin has produced a number of pink and bone iPod cases this year. They're all being sold with 10% going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and this Shuffle sports band costs $19.99. I kind of wish they hadn't used the word bone, though.

2. Kensington notebook mouse
The Kensington mouse is designed to be slung into your bag for use with your notebook on the move, and anything that negates the need for the touchpad is ok by me. The product page has also got five tips on what to look for when you check your breasts, which is the kind of detail that makes sense. It's available from PC World, for £40.
3. Tchibo bag hookLow tech, but worth a mention, these bag hooks keep your possessions your own in bars that don't provide their own bag hooks. All the profits from these go to Breast Cancer Care, so get your hand in your pocket pronto.

4. Petito flash drives
Produced in conjunction with the American cancer charity, The Susan G Komen Foundation, these drives are available in 512MB and 1GB. They're so small, they truly believe you can wear these ones as necklaces - I spose it's better than losing it because it's at the bottom of your bag.

5. Special edition iPod Shuffle pack
Target have put together a special edition iPod Shuffle pack, comprising a pink shuffle, a $15 iTunes card and an awful lot of packaging. $25,000 in total is being donated to Breast Cancer Research Foundation by Target, but they're only in the stores, so you have to be quick.

6. Sony Vaio, Video Walkman and TV
Sony are donating a proportion of a few of their pinkest products to Breast Cancer Care, so no matter what gadget you're in the market for, Sony can help you out. The laptop is of the CR variety, so comes packed with multimedia goodness.

7. Polaroid camera
It's quite a statement, this shade of pink. But for the potential horror of picking a camera surely loved by Penelope Pitstop, you get 6 megapixels and 3 times optical zoom, and there's an audio tag, which allows you to tag all your photos with a little clip of you. Aah, sweet.

8.Pink ribbon antennae ring
Here in the UK, we tend not to have antennas on our phones, but if we did, I hope we'd be sporting these antenna rings. As it is, we're going to have to find other uses for them. I suggest popping one on the end of your tongue, on your little toe or round the neck of a friendly mouse. At $4.95 each you could get one for the whole mouse family.

9. GHD hair straighteners
The colour doesn't make your hair more likely to stay straight, but it does make getting it that way even more girly. You can get these online and if you stumble across a GHD salon, you might see some of the special events they get up to to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

10. Dyson pink DC07 vacuum
$40 from each sale goes straight to Breast Cancer Research, which might make you feel a little kinder towards your housework. Sadly, this pink vacuum doesn't come with the pinny, stilettos and martini that it so richly deserves, fifties housewife-style.
