In-car iPod listening - something I rely on - has been much easier since those silly UK laws banning it were axed. The result was that lots of in-car media players have now got iPod access, including the Goodmans GCE2814IP.

The player supports CD, MP3, iPod and radio listening in a head unit priced at just £69.99. You can preset 24 radio stations, play CDs or MP3/WMA CDs and hook up your iPod with the cable provided. There's also ID3 Tagging, traffic updates, Anti-Shock Protection and 4 x 40 watt power output. A dancing LED light on the unit adds a pretty factor, and once you leave the car you can detach the fully motorised fascia and take it with you.
