Turn me ON: upside down lamp

lamp_groot.jpg

The turn me ON: upside down lamp by Sylvie van de Loo is exciting for its goofy whimsy, because it doesn't generate much heat so you can place it pretty much anywhere (it uses super-bright LEDs like a good little lamp should) and also, to turn it on, you turn it over. It's not totally new to have a lamp that you fondle in order to activate, but it doesn't sport any mercury so you can feel good about your tech. It looks like a mouse pointer designed by a smurf, but I mean that in the nicest possible way. [Camille]
