Steve,
Can we both be honest here for a minute? We're not going to get our iPhone here in the UK and Europe by Christmas, are we? Last night was the perfect opportunity to announce availability, and you didn't take it. It was also the perfect opportunity to announce a European-friendly 3G version, and you didn't take that either (much to the chagrin of T3, who reckoned they had the inside track on the non-existent announcement).
Let's get real. There's been a massive demand for the iPhone in the US, and whilst there's still that demand it's in your best interests to keep up the supply over there. Plus the fact it still doesn't appear like you're any closer to agreeing a deal with any of the European networks over who's going to take it. So, my guess is that you're going to focus your Christmas efforts on the iPod over here, and leave us hanging to the New Year to get our iPhones.
And we are *so* not ok with that.

There's still Apple expo later this month, to make an annoncement in Europe, about Europe...
That that price cut shaves enough off the price for a premium 3G version to be released here and in the States. I was thinking Apple wouldn't be fleet of foot enough to survive in the phones market, but if they release new models that this rate, they might just pull it off...
