PURE Digital has launched a follow up to its popular Chronos DAB clock radio, the inventively titled Chronos II. It'll be available from October 2007 for £69.99 (around $140) and features an improved display, automatic light sensor and FM radio with RDS functionality.
As far as clock radios go, this one does pretty much everything. Preset constant, weekday, weekend or one-off alarm times and choose from tone, DAB or FM to be gently awakened with faded-in sound or music. You can wake to a different DAB station than you went to sleep with, too. And you'll be doing your bit for the environment. As part of the EcoPlus range it's designed to use 2W at full power and less than 1W on standby, with 70% recycled packaging and 100% recycled paper for documentation (plus soya-based inks and water-based varnishes).
