no!no! pain-free hair removal... I think.

no_hair_removal.jpgYou know, I'm skating close to not being at all sure what the no!no! system actually does. It uses some technology called "Thermicon", that much is clear, and it has something to do with pain-free hair removal, but it doesn't actually say removal, it says "achieving hair density reduction". Is that marketing-speak for shaving? Or does it mean that the hair will be weakened and thinned out to make waxing easier and longer-lasting? There is some mention of not having to wait as long for hair to grow back in order to remove it, which can only be a good thing as hair may be acceptable for some but no-one likes stubble. It's $250 (£125), so before you shell out you might want to be less confused than I.

Oh, well. It ought to make nine percent of us happy, anyway, because there's a pink one.

Well, the spanish branch of Radiancy (the company behind no! no!) refused to sell it in Spain because they considered it didn't offer enough guarantees to prove it safe for consumer using.
Another company offered it through a home shopping TV channel and Radiancy Spain posted a disclaimer: http://fon.gs/no-no (automatic translation, sorry). Among several complaints from women that used it.
So, beware of this product.

The company that makes it is one that also makes laser machines (for permanent hair removal).
So my understanding is it is a waaaay toned down version of that. So it doesn't shave or pluck the hair, it "burns"/dissolves the root, or whatever the correct term is. So with time you have less hair in general. Although I guess it wouldn't get rid of it completely because they couldn't sell something that powerful for home use.
Jury's still out on whether it works, I've been trying to find out and everyone says something different.

I have tried the no!no! It basically has a wire that heats up and comes close to the skin and literally burns the hair off. I burned my arm and on top of that had to air out my house because of the burning hair smell that came with using it.

I have been using the no!no! for about two months now. It takes some getting used to but it has been showing results. If you are interested in more details about my experience check out my blog post.
