New iPod nano: GEAR4 JumpSuit and IceBox cases

GEAR4 pledged to be one of the first on the market offering accessories for the new iPod range, and it didn't drag its feet after the announcement of the new iPod nano. Four new cases are hitting the market in the next two weeks, all at £14.99, pictured left to right above in the order they're described.

The JumpSuit Plus is a two-pack of silicon sheaths (sounds like an iPod condom, I know) and a free sports armband which protects the waffffer-thin devices whilst allowing full use of the controls and ports. There's a plastic screen protector too. It'll be available on the 12th September. The JumpSuit Shield, in black or ice white, is a similarly shaped silicon case but comes in hard plastic to offer more bump protection. No wristband for this one, but you do get a GEAR4 lanyard. You can get hold of this on 21st September.

Read on for more about the clear IceBox range.

The IceBox is a clear hard plastic protective case that offers full access to the ports and a GEAR4 lanyard for toting it around with you. It'll be in stores from 20th September. If you think it a shame to be unable to see the smooth full metal casing of the iPod then you can compromise with the IceBox Pro which has its own black, silver or pink brushed metal front, which, according to GEAR4 is "colour matched to iPod". There's a plastic back, lanyard and full access to ports again. Hang fire for this one until 27th September.

The company will be releasing further accessories for the nano and other new iPods soon.
