If there was one gadget that I wish was invented it would be the DAB/iPod alarm clock. Yep, over a time travelling portal, a phone with ever-lasting battery and a dishwasher that actually cleans dishes rather than redistributing the grime, a DAB/iPod alarm would be the one.
Imagine my delight, then, to find that Pure radio has gone and done exactly that. As anyone who has one will testify, DAB radio is fab and once you've tuned in you'll never go back to FM/AM (how good is BBC Six Music??). Now, you don't have to. It'll let you wake to DAB or FM radio, your iPod or just a buzzer - although why you'd choose the buzzer presented with those choices is beyond me. It'll be available from the end of October for £99.99 and will come in black and white.
