Real Life Spiderman Suit only ten years away

What kid hasn't dreamed of having Spidey powers, or adult too for that matter? Well while webslinging may still be in the realms of fantasy, crawling up walls may not be, with research underway into creation of a Spidey Suit. The suit would allow you to climb up skyscrapers by using nanotubes, tiny hooks that grip imperfections, built into the gloves and shoes. Billions of nanotubes would be built into the fabric, to enable the suit to support an adults weight and then released by a peeling motion to break the adhesive. Obviously this would be a burglars dream, but it has other uses too, especially in space where a firm grip can be a matter of life and death. Professor Nicola Pugno, of the Polytechnic of Turin predicts that the first suit will be here by 2017, “It may not be long before we are seeing people climbing up the Empire State Building with nothing but sticky shoes and gloves to support them," he said.
