This is surely the end of the emo MySpace shot, and, frankly, any photos of me since I don't do smiling in photos.
Sony's Smile Shutter feature means you can programme the camera to only snap the shot when everyone's smirk is focussed front and centre. Presumably the idea is that there are no more of those shots where one person at the back is looking out of the window / down the top of the person next to them but where's the fun in that?
The camera does have other spec to boast of, including a 3.5" "Wide & Touch" screen, 8.1 megapixel sensor, face recognition technology and 5x zoom. No information about price and availability just yet but the Sony microsite will tell you more about what you can expect from it.
