Everyone hates those pesky spam texts sent form companies encouraging you to buy their products/notice their shops/download a ringtone you don't want, and they're the equivalent of spam email except more invasive as they're on your actual mobile, clogging up your inbox. Isn't it great then that the city council are now perpetrating such texts, even if they are warning you about dodgy sex scams and seedy strip joints? 500-1000 messages are being sent out daily reading, "£5 to get in, £500 to get out. Criminals operate some of the hostess bars in Soho. Don't enter before you know what you'll get for your money."
