If you read The Bag Lady, you'll already know that patent leather is "in" right now. These new handsets by Alcatel aren't actually made of leather, of course, but they look like they are, which makes all the difference, doesn't it? Given that they cost just £14.99 each, it probably won't surprise you to know that, looks aside, these are pretty basic models: they're lightweight (77g) and pretty, but there's no camera, no media player, and not a whole lot in the way of features. They do come in four different colours, though - hot pink, black, glossy blue and vibrant orange - and will be available from Woolworths this September.
