LG's new glossy black home cinema system, the not-so-elegantly named HT902TB, oozes simplicity and style.

In terms of the electronics, it offers 1000 watts of listening power through standalone tallboy speakers and what they're calling "Virtual Sound Matrix", a technology that claims to create "five virtual speakers" in the room, replicating 10.1 channel sound. There's an XTS Pro Digital Amplifier, HDMI connectivity, 3.5 Stereo In to connect up your MP3 player and a USB port for sharing music, images and videos in DivX format. There's also a SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) function that enables operation of an LG tv and AV system from the same remote via HDMI. Multi-DVD format is a given and WMA, MP3 and JPG are also supported. Available now in the UK; a quick price search delivers availability from £200 to £350.
