The Klipsch iFi probably won't win any awards for its dodgy name (neither, indeed, will I for my dodgy pun, but still), but it does produce respectable sound quality and that will probably win it more fans than name anyway, right?
These $500 (£250) 2.1 channel stereo speakers are in the upper-middle price range, so it's worthwhile having some good quality tracks on that there iPod, too. The iFi delivers 200 watts of sound through two satellite RSX-3 speakers via its customised subwoofer and Class D amplifier. It's elegant and understated design is definitely a plus, complementing any shade of 'pod. It comes with a remote control that claims to control the iFi through walls and floors, and it'll work with up to six remotes, so you can keep one in every room in a dramatic audio upscaling of the switching - channels - at - the - tv - vs - using - the - remote viewing war. Class.
