The new Doctor Who may not be everyone's cup of tea (it's definitely not mine) but the popular show was voted programme of the year at the Edinburgh TV Festival. Okay, BBC, they like you, they really like you, so you can go back to telling fun, vigorous stories that are all-ages suitable and are actually enjoyable to watch, any time now. I'll be waiting by the phone, like Martha, your attempt at a strong female character who has now at least temporarily been outdone by a trashy salesgirl.
