If you fancy the hands-on of making your own electronics and want to save a few quid on your very own Nixie clock, MAKE has assembled not one, not two, but three alternatives in varying degrees of style, all at around £75. Personally, I find exposed circuits a bit less sexy than brushed aluminum, so I’d still go for the B&W Tubes clock (plus it has a better lifespan), but degustibus non disputanum est. [GT]
