A super-budget UK satnav system is now available for just £39.99 at The Carphone Warehouse. Teaming up with Jentro to offer MyMobile Satnav, the phone people are offering consumers a dinky GPS receiver and satnav software. Rather than comprising of a packful of maps etc on a memory card, the information is actually downloaded as needed, since it's a server-based system.
Of course, the initial £39.99 charge does not include the subscription, with is £4.99 a month or £49.99 per year, but this is still a more budget-friendly way of accessing what will always be up-to-the-minute information. Especially as they'll shortly be introducing a non-subscription, per journey rate starting at 79p; perfect for occasional users.
