They're supposed to like sugar and spice and everything nice, but actually, according to a survey by Gogoblin.co.uk, little girls would rather have a DS Lite than a Barbie doll these days. GoGoblin is a gift list site, and according to their survey, rather than playing with dolls, their little girl customers are into DS Lites by the time they're seven years old, while older girls go for iPods, mobile phones and computers. Little boys, meanwhile, get an even earlier start on gadget obsession, preferring Gameboys, Playstations and Wii's to the more girlie DS Lite.
Is it the end for Barbie? Well, probably not. But maybe Geek Barbie will be next out of the Mattel stable.
