Well, the first person has arrived to start the queue at the 5th Ave Apple store in NY, but here in the UK, we haven't even heard about a release date. So, which of the UK networks are going to take the bait?
First up: Vodafone.
Pros: There have been rumours that the 'talks' have got to a late stage between Apple and Voda. Someone overheard a suspicious conversation in the pub, and there are the Flickr mock-ups to prove it. Vodafone in Germany are acting like they've already got it.
Cons: The iPhone currently doesn't have 3G. Vodafone *heart* 3G. Having called them this morning to use all my most feminine of wiles to get some information, any information, they're being very blase about it. According to Someone Important at Vodafone "nah, it's not coming up on my spreadsheet any time soon". And that's official.
Odds: 1/5
Tomorrow: T-Mobile. Do they have what it takes to nab the iPhone?

I'd say T-Mobile. Atleast that's what my tea-leafs told me this morning.
You heard it hear first.
I just want a non-phone iPhone. You know, the iPhone with just wifi and mp3/mpeg4 capabilities.
Well if vodafone can keept from imposing their ugly UI carp onto their phones then ok. I just hate what thay did with their stalinated icons on the phones a few years ago.. anyway, here in Sweden vodafone are no more...
